"Verb"
campaign
The
"Verb It's what you do." Youth Media Campaign (YMC),
was launched by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services'
Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It is a national,
multicultural media campaign intended to promote physical
and social activity and displace unhealthy, risky behavior
among children ages 9 - 13.
After
several sketched ideas and color concepts were drafted, we
settled on a design that best expressed as many active verbs
as we could fit onto the wall. This energy was carried into
the painting style of the murals as well, using expressive
brush strokes and bold, warm colors.
We
invited kids from various boys and girls clubs to help put
the finishing touches on the murals. News channel 10 paid
a visit as well. |
