Saint Patrick Church

Located in London Ohio, Saint Patrick church is over 130 years old and was in need of some restoration.

The chapel has several arches 20 feet to 40 feet in height that scale the tall walls of the chapel and meet at the ceiling. They are made of tin and were painted an off-white. The paint was dingy and peeling.

Our studio painted the arches and window sills of the chapel to resemble sand stone. We also painted portions of the front entrance to the chapel to resemble the original oak wood grain of the doors.

Faux Sand Stone Arches

It took two of us about two weeks to complete the arches.

Faux Wood Grain

The arches above the entry doors in this photo were originaly painted white. The wood couldn't be refinished so we painted the arches to match the doors.
